Do not buy anything from them, they are scammers. I bought one thing, now I am getting charges from a company ever month I never heard of. SOme kind of club they give your credit card numbers too.
From what i hear it is impossible to get them to start charging your CC. YOu must actually cancel your credit card. The club they sign u up for without your permssion is called "BUYERS EDGE" and it it a NIGHTMARE to deal with. |

We are building a new home and needless to say we need many items and have done much online shopping. This experience at absolutehome.com was absolutely my worst experience. I had to return knobs that didn't match and they charged me a 25% restocking fee. They never gave me this information up front and were totally rude when I called them. Had I known about the restocking fee I would have been more careful choosing.
I mentioned that I was reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and they practically laughed over the phone. I asked for a Manager and was told she was a Manager. I'll never buy anything from them again - be sure you read the fine print. |

Order placed on 2/20/08, but did not receive until 3/11/08. That is not an acceptable schedule for a small box of filters. Unless it was shipped by boat from China! Turn around time was rediculous and shipping charges were excessive. For that $$$ amount, I would have expected OVERNIGHT!

Highway robbery if you try to return products! BE CAREFUL! I purchased a w/d online, that was the easy part. I followed up with a call regarding the delivery time of the w/d since I NEEDED it by a certain date in order to install. I was assured that it would arrive, in hand on time. Unfortunately the next day i had to cancel the order. It didn't ship yet, so I should have been ok. Not the case! After refusing to return the item that i have yet to receive, i talked to a supervisor and convinced him to do the return. One week after the expected delivery date, I got a call that my item would be there tomorrow....WHAT?!?!? I cancelled the order! I now will only get a return for 75% of the item and am out ALL shipping costs they never needed to incur (over $500!!!). When you call to talk to them about any issue, be prepared to hold...they try to get you not to do anything by putting you on hold for over 1/2 hour!

I can see I am not the only one that has problems with AbsoluteHome. I made the terrible mistake of purchasing a Avanti DW181SS 18" Undercounter Dishwasher from them.
After waiting MONTH AND A HALF the product finally arrived, but guess what, UPS tossed it in front of my house upside down and it got damaged. Called customer service and waited another week for UPS to pick up the package again. once they received it they told me that I have to wait another 7 to 10 days for the product to ship again Its been two months and still the dishwasher is not here. Not worth it Believe me, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. They should change their name to Absolutehorror.com Im asking for my money back, wish me luck! |

I did not like that I had to mess with giving a signature to the shipper before they would deliver the product. Matching hours to another company when you work full time long hours is difficult. It all worked out in the end, but I did not like having to struggle with the receiving the box. I would have liked the choice to want to sign for the package, not have signing forced on me, as the only way to get the product.

The price was great with free shipping and handling. The order was about a week later than the original estimate. The customer service reps were very personable but did not always follow up. According to customer service the biggest difficulty was the lack of response from the manufacturer, LG, about the order status and product availability.

The order shipped within 3 weeks of placing the order as it said it would. I received the box from UPS on the 25th of January and I could not get anyone to install the toilet until today, 2/2/08, so I did not open the box until today. When I opened the box, only the toilet tank and seat were in the box and the actual bowl toilet was not in the box. In the box, there was a paper which said that it was on backorder. I see from your shipping confirmation (Which says that both pieces were shipped) email that I should have let you know 3 days after receiving the item that the bowl was not in the box and that you are not liable. I am not saying that you are liable; I am just questioning the lack of communication as to the status of my backordered paid for item. There was no email sent to me to let me know that the bowl was on backorder nor was I asked if I wanted to have everything shipped to me at the same time. I could not complete the project in the time that I had scheduled. I am very dissatisfied with your company?s communication and feel that you should have let me know that the item was on backorder at the time I placed the order, or through an email or a phone call at some point during the three weeks that I waited for the order. You could have also asked if I wanted to have everything held until all the items could be shipped at the same time. There is nothing that I can do with a toilet tank with no toilet bowl, which has caused a great inconvenience in my project. At this point, there has still been no communication regarding the backordered bowl. I do not know if or when the item will arrive. I purchased and paid for a two-piece set and need more information as to the status of the bowl. I will call customer service on Monday, the 4th. Thank you.

I ordered a product that was not available from the vendor. I would have preferred that Absolute Home had called the vendor when I first place the order and then they should have emailed me that the lead time was two weeks to two months. It turned out that I cancelled the order and Absolute Home promptly credited my credit card. My only objection is that two weeks went by and I think they should have told me right away that the product was not in stock and not available.

Every time I called i was told it was being shipped a different method- UPS,Freight, USPS- no one gave me the same answer 2x- I was told i needed to sign for it. Even tracking was impossible. Placed the order on 12/11/07 cancelled order within minutes apart. Cancellation dept. receieved the request several days later which in turn they were unable to stop the shipment in time and now I have to return it. Shipment received after X-mas and now I have to wait until 1/8/08 to received instructions for returning the merchandise. Extrmely unhappy with the untimely cancellation of my order and my having to incur interest charges on my card.

2 of the 3 items I ordered were shipped a couple of days later than the original date posted on AbsoluteHome's order tracking website. Still, they were received fairly quickly and in good condition. The third item on my order is supposedly shipping directly from one of their vendors, haven't yet received it.
