Overall communication was quite poor,as I was not notified of the delays in shipping.There were two such delays and each time I had to make the call to find out about such.If an item is not in stock,then the website should clearly state such.I had originally purchased the amp from InstrumentPro because they reside in California and I wanted the combo asap.I will give a positive to the guys in customer service for being honest when I called for info and for the item being well packed.Btw,I did say "Yes" for shopping again,but only after I call first for item availability and the like.

the issue is simple, if you are back ordering something you need to tell the buyer immediately before the order is placed. Because, I for example NEED the item I ordered on relatively short notice for shows. For the business to tell me a while later it is not coming for a month is completely unacceptable. Also, there order cancellation policy can take up to 72 hours according to the website. That is unacceptable. I do not know anything about the size or organization of of the business in question, however it does not stand up to others selling the same merchandised even though they offered the best price on the item. For future reference I will pay $40 more in order to have a business that is aware of the status of its own stock, and allows for quick and easy cancellation of an order via the website, or by phone (which I remained on hold for a customer service rep for 20 min) Again, I don't know the business firsthand, so if it is an operation run in someone's garage by a person who works two other jobs, then everything has gone splendidly.

I ordered a microphone clip in January 2007 for $20.00, I have high hopes of receiving it April. In the mean time I have received other peoples orders, tracking confirmations of equipment shipped to other states and lot of run around. Today was the final straw; Instrument Pro took it upon themselves to run my credit card for an UNAUTHORIZED AMOUNT OF $324.00. Thank God you can refute fraudulent charges on your credit card.

There was an issue reported regarding the acceptance of the credit card (new credit card / billing adress not accepted). I have communicated immediately to the dealer, I tried to reach him by phone several times and via the offered online chat tool. No feedback yet, if things are moving ahead, if I should give a new credit card, if I have to replace / renew the order, etc. .
Very disappointing.

Buying from Instrument Pro has easily been the worst experience I've had on-line in a very long time. Their website allowed you to go all the way through the purchase process before telling you the item was on backorder for 2 1/2 months. Then, since I had to cancel the order because it won't be received in the time-frame I needed, the website didn't register my cancellation. They won't allow you cancel it over the phone, only on-line, which doesn't work.
All phone calls to the company resulted in my having to leave a message. The emails I sent -- even the one saying do not ship this item -- also were ignored. They shipped it anyway. Now they want ME to pay for the return shipping of a product that we cancelled more than 2 months ago. The account manager was rude and patronizing. Eric, the guy in the returns department, was equally unhelpful. We will NEVER do business here again and will tell everyone we know not to use this company. |

I called them to order a component, and asked them which model I needed. The sales person insisted it was a certain model, and told me to order on-line. The item shipped two weeks late, and then they refuse to pay shipping for the return. In fact, they haven't even accepted the return still. Customer service is rude. THESE PEOPLE JUST DON'T GIVE A SH**T.
The prices may be low, but shoddy service should not be rewarded. This is only my second truly horrendous experience with on-line shopping in five years. Stay away from this vendor! |

This has got to be the WORST customer service and bunch of liars I have ever dealt with. They claim they have items in stock that are not there. They also claim the reason for delay is because they professionally set up every guitar before its shipped, BullS___!. They cant even spell guitar much less set one up. I think everyone should contact CHAMBER OF COMMERCE in SAl Leandro California ABOUT INSTRUMENTPRO All you have to do is give them the site will all these complaints and also yours. They will shut this want to be music store down. Hell anyone can take orders and place them with a dealer until it comes in and take their money off the top. This so called company cant afford to stock strings for a guitar. I have been told about 6 lies already and the 3 or 4 people that work here all cover for the others lies. Its companies like this that make you scared to even do business online. Its best to stick with someone like Musicians Friend or American Musical. Here you will get reliable honest service. These crooks need to be SHUT DOWN !!!!!!!!

Placed the order on December 29, received no notice that the item was not available. Tried using their online chat with representative function, after stating that I wanted info on the order, that 4 days had passed, no shipping confirmation... no answer for a long time, then our session was terminated without any sort of reply at all. Had to call in. I was assured the item, although NOT in stock (which I had not before been informed of) the guitar would be shipped Jan. 9th. I got that confirmed in an email as well. I re-read all of it... there was no guarantee it would ship on that date or even at all. Ok. I don't guarantee I want to continue with the order. It is now the 10th, no confirmation of shipping as I was told. Sent them an email as well as filled out their online cancellation form, saving the email and it's date as evidence of cancellation and warning not to ship due to some previous complaints I have read. I haven't been given any reason to put faith in the company and my experience sounds much like the testimony submitted by others, so I am on full guard mode now and covering all bases, preparing to hit up my credit card company for chargeback, and better business bureau online in the event any 'funny stuff' should start happening as some other previous customers have claimed. I was fair and patient, always try to be, allowed them time to fulfill or break the promise they made of the 9th... but when my patience starts to wane... the gloves come off. Not going to accept any more underhanded tactics or someone's going to feel it in the morning. I don't exactly make a good 'victim'.

HORRIBLE. That's all I can say. The absolute WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. No communication with the consumer at ALL. You order something and it's supposed to ship. Instrumentpro tells me it shipped, and so does the drop ship company, but, only received half of it. I only found this out after I called them numerous times. Then, to make up for the delay, they graciously offer me 2 day saturday delivery for free. Except, the drop-ship company didn't agree to pay for the shipping, so, it never shipped and they never even knew of, or informed me, of the delay til I called back a week later and spent at least 10 minutes on hold.
NEVER again. STAY AWAY from Instrument AMATEUR dot com. |

I order a guitar from here for my husband for Christmas. I don't recommend it. First, they would not ship it to my parents house. I did not want it to come to my house and my husband see it. Then I was charged twice for the product. I am waiting on the refund. They could not refund me right now. It will be at least 24 hrs. Most likely longer. I will NEVER buy anything else from the company. I think there is only one person in customer service b/c every time I call I get the same person and he will not let me speak to anyone else. This company is not worth the headache that they cause...

Don't do it! They talk a good game. I placed an order for a simple $40 case for my son's saxophone. They told me it was in stock, as I needed it quickly, (couldn't have him take it into school band without a case!)After several days of hearing nothing from them, I then got an email that it was out of stock and it would ship a week later. I called Inst. Pro to get more clarification. They said it shipped and I would have it by Nov. 2nd. It is now Nov. 13th. I finally got a tracking number for USPS. Impossible to track progress. Cust. serv. rep was polite but hedged on any solid delivery time. Would never order from them again. Too much competition out there. Stay away!
