My experience with this company was horrible. I ordered a B.C. Rich WMD Warbeast on 9/28/07. I cancelled on 9/29/07. I received e-mail confirmation of my cancellation on 10/1/07, but they also authorized my account for $664.99, which meant I couldn't get to that money. I called customer service and the associate told me it would be 3 to 5 business days before the authorization would be taken off my account. I asked if we reversed the cancellation, how long would it take to ship the item and I was told that it would ship within 48 hours (10/3/07). I agreed to that and he said he would take care of it. Later that day, the original authorization was removed from my account and InstrumentPro reauthorized the account for $664.99. On 10/5/07 the guitar still hadn't shipped and the authorization was once again removed from my account without explanation. Note: we are now 48 hours BEYOND the promised ship date or 96 hours since I talked to the associate. I called customer service, left them my customer number and call back number on their "Answering Machine" and waited. I called about 2 pm their time on 10/5/07. I received no return call. I sent a second cancellation request to them and advised them NOT to authorize my account again or I would view it as a fraudulent transaction. Since I now had money in my account again, I prompty ordered my guitar from one of their competitors. I don't have time to play around with unprofessional companies and these folks are not ready for prime time. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU ENJOY LONG WAITS AND CRUMMY SERVICE!!! Maybe your experience will be better, but I've been a musician for 30 years and I've never experienced this kind of pure unprofessional crap in all that time. Maybe I just caught them on a bad week, but in this industry, you don't get second chances. You either stand and deliver or you are viewed as a chump wannabe. I may only be spending $664 at one time, but it's MY $664 and it will be a cold day in hell before InstrumentPro ever sees a dime of it! No money changed hands at any point during this transaction, but I sure feel like I got screwed over because they locked up $664 in my bank acount so that I couldn't go to anywhere else to get the product. Unless you like this kind of hassle, avoid them until they change their policies.

I will possibly use them again only because they have good prices, but I have been very disappointed in their customer service and order fulfillment. I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I only leave messages and their reply is to email me a copy of the order I placed. As of today, I am still waiting on my dump box, piano stool and headphones...but I love my piano.

Placed order on line. Received email...

Placed order on line. Received email aknowledging order and that a email would follow with UPS tracking number. No email with tracking number so I called a week later and left message. They did not return call. Called again next day and got someone in customer service that confirmed they had not shipped until more than a week later, but he could not explain why. I asked to speak to a manager, got voice mail, left message and phone number, no one returned call. Called again and left voice mail and three days later no return call, and now almost two weeks later no sign of items ordered or any return call. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I should have ordered from Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, American Musical Supply, or Musician.Com all of whom I have always received great customer service and usually receive the order within three to five days. Would NOT recommend doing business with these people. I now have to go to my credit card company and file a complaint to see if I can get the charge removed from my account.

Deceptive, unresponsive, false advertising, poor service

Would never do business with them again. First they said everything was free Shipping, It was NOT! Then they said 24hrs live help, NOT! I accidentally ordered the wrong item and within 5 minutes I tried to contact them to cancel. That's when I found out NO live assistance. I emailed them 3 X to cancel, they responded back 4 days later and said it had already shipped, But it did not,because I found out it was Dropped shipped from Shure more than a week after I placed the order. I found out later their prices are not even that good as I was able to find the Shure Cartridge , needle and cartridge for less than they charged for just the needle. They said I would have to return it but they still have not replied with a return authorization # , which they require.

Fantastic experience ordering from these guys

It was late on a Tuesday and I needed an oil wheel for a show that I was having the following weekend. Most places on line were shipping from oversees and there was no hope of having the product in time for a reasonable price... then i got in contact with Carlos...

Over the phone he was able to assure me that he could expedite the shipping so that I would have my product by the Friday of the same week. I was nervous about paying extra for shipping and having it come in the same day that I needed it but Carlos assured me that he would personally take care of it and promised me that I would have my product on time.

Needless to say the product showed up on the day that Carlos promised and it was in perfect condition upon arrival. I really appreciate the one on one service that I received and am very satisfied with my product.

I would definitely recommend ordering with these guys.

No One Home

Agree with reviewers who say customer service is terrible - I got an answering machine only and no one will call back. Company advertised free stand with keyboard; order arrived with NO stand and stand on the receipt crossed out, no explanation. Basically, when you read an item description or offer on their web site, that is no guarantee that you are going to actually get that deal!

The Little Martin is backordered and...

The Little Martin is backordered and not available for over a month which was not mentioned on the website. If an item is not available it should be listed on the website so we are not ordering a product that is unavailable!! Also the accessories that are available are weak. When I order a guitar but cannot get a strap for it that is not good.

You cannot reach this company's Customer Service Department. I call and I call, and all I get is a recording telling me to leave a message.

I left a message, and have had no response to that message whatsoever !

I've never before dealt with a company that doesn't answer it's own Customer Service telephone line !!!!!

I was looking for a Fender Telecaster HS a discontinued model. InstrumentPro had 1 left.

I had not used InstrumentPro before so I had to take a chance. Eric Polnoff gave me a nice deal on the guitar and about a week later it was at my house.

It plays great and was just what I was looking for.

I would buy from InstrumentPro again.

Terrible

Claimed bass was in stock...it wasn't. I only ordered because they said it was in stock. If I had wanted to wait 3 months, I would have ordered elsewhere. The real problem turned up when I received the bass. It turned out to be "B" stock. How do I know? It's got a big "B" stamped in the back of the headstock. That's apparently why the price was good. They didn't advertise it as "B" stock, and I never would have ordered it if I had known they were going to scam me by shipping "B" stock. When I called them on it, all communication stopped. They wouldn't acknowledge emails, kept me holding after I told them who I was. They won. I finally gave up.

The web site is not kept current for this product. It said they had 4 red HS Telecasters and they had none. They did offer a 10% reduction on another guitar but that was the only model and color I was looking for.

Order at your own risk

I ordered a guitar through this company before reading reviews here and elsewhere. I e-mailed the company the next day to see if they had the item in stock. Tony Fernandez replied:

we have it in stock in another warehouse... we have to pull it up to us first... give it about 3 days before you receive an email with a tracking number.

Several hours later I received another e-mail stating that the item was being ordered from the vendor, expect it to be shipped out 7/2. Not only were the e-mails conflicting, but the order #'s from my original invoice and subsequent e-mails were also. I cancelled my order, and called my credit card company to keep them from charging it. The credit card company told me that the item had been charged on 6/6, the day I ordered it, and the charge was from a private individual, not from instrument pro. They told me that the process would take up to 48 hours.

I have not received return phone calls or emails. I still do not have my product. The page where I ordered my product said free shipping available, then I found out it was only for purchases larger than mine. It was very disappointing. The conditions for free shipping should be clearly stated from the beginning.

Instrumentpro had exactly what I wanted and got it to me fast. What made the experience really great was that I was fortunate enough to deal with Eric Polnoff. This guy not only knows instruments, he also is a great customer service rep. He made my purchase go smoothly and easily.

While ordering two guitars for Christmas presents, through no fault of Instrument Pro, the manufacturer shipped the wrong model for one of the ordered guitars. Discovering this at a late date and with little patience left, my customer service rep, Michael Lee, listened patiently while I made sure he understood how unhappy I was. His manner was always professional and polite and obviously sincere. Expecting there was no way this would get straightened out before Christmas (3 days away), I grumpily hung up the phone expecting the worst. I was totally delighted a day later when an overnight package arrived with the essential guitar! I noticed that the packing slip from the manufacturer was stamped in big red letters, "Must Ship Today".
That didn't happen by accident ;-)
Thanks Michael! You have made me a believer in customer service again. And I thought it was dead!

BEWARE OF THIS MERCHANT!!!! I cancelled my order in October, and it JUST SHOWED up in January. Go figure??? My credit card was charged... Now, InstrumentPro wants me to pay return shipping on an item that I cancelled. Beware of this merchant. Their customer service department is difficult to deal with. Their service is just like some of their merchandise.....CHEAP!!!!!

Terrible customer service. They acted like my order was in stock and then changed it to a drop ship from manufacturer (which I could have done myself) without notice. They then could not get my shipping address correct after three telephone calls between us. Thankfully, I am registered with FedEx and *they* actually called me and straightened out the address. Took way too long and was way too painful. I will never shop there again.

The products I needed were easily found on the website. The order was shipped immediately with tracking number. However, the guitar we had at home would not fit in the guitar case. It is the case that is supposed to go with the guitar, according to the manufacturer. I called Instrumentpro and they are letting me send it back postage paid. The are also trying to figure out if the case is defected, so as to give me more options. Service has been great.
