Delivery was fast. However I had 1 item (motherboard) I returned for exchange and one (memory) for refund in the same package following the instructions to indicate two rma's in package. After receiving 2 emails for each item sent indicating both items received and sent to department for inspections, newegg claimed the refund item was not received. CR wanted me to put in insurance claim with USPS that product was lost in transit. So now I should commit mail fraud by claiming the package that was delivered was not??? No refund forthcoming and since first contact with newegg they haven't bothered to reply to email.

8-1-08 update:
I was contacted by Newegg customer service after they read my negative review. They have agreed to refund my money. The rep I spoke with was very helpful. Would consider purchasing from Newegg again but would qualify my recommendations to friends with warnings about some customer service problems

Their return policy for software is terrible! Generally they ship quickly and are responsive on those occasions when I've gotten defective hardware, but for software it's caveat emptor!

I purchased some client access licenses 2 months ago; the stickers arrived, but don't have license codes, so they're useless. I finally got to talk to a supervisor, who agreed to replace them: the replacements are also lacking the license codes. After another series of calls and emails, they rejected another return because "Software is a consumable, so we don't accept returns." After 20 phone calls and as many emails (many of which went unreturned, despite solemn promises to "call right back"). I have neither the license codes nor my money.

Apparently their policy is that they are allowed to send defective software without any responsibility for correcting the problem.

Don't rely on the objectivity of their reviews, since my (pretty negative) review hasn't made it onto the site. My skepticism doesn't allow me to assume that the lost review is pure coincidence.

Though it was rocky start thanks to the help of Cooper Jia at New Egg everything worked out fine. Because of how quick New Egg was in sending out their products the package arrived in the middle of a move and was returned. Unfortunately UPS was less then helpful, and I had to re-order the items. New Egg honored the sale that was on at the time of the original order in addition there was a new sale for the items I ordered. In the end I got what I needed, a week later but at a cheaper price. I will continue to order from New Egg.

Friday I placed an order... I had problems....I tried to call Newegg and spent 1 HOUR in the phone...ON HOLD FOR THE NEXT AGENT...I GAVE UP
ALSO LIVE CHAT ON HOLD FOR 30 MINUTES...THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER....

MONDAY,AFTER 1 HOUR....I SPOKE WITH A LIVE PERSON & WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR A VERIFICATION EMAIL...

SPOKE WITH THE SUPERVISOR.....NOW IT IS FINALLY STRAIGHTENED OUT....THIS WAS A LOT OF TROUBLE ... HE DID WAIVE THE SHIPPING FEE...BUT I AM VERY TIRED...

For three years now I have done a lot of my Christmas shopping at Newegg.com. Each time, I found great buys for myself, my immediate family, and extended family. I am very happy to say all of the electronics have worked too.

This is impressive since I bought six PC Cameras, a hand full of memory sticks, keyboards, mice, memory, video card, a microphone and many other products. All of them were well packaged and arrived on time.

At Christmas, they will ship items to different addresses. That's great.

I do wish they gave you free shipping tho. The more you order, the more it weights and costs.

I am giving NewEgg.com a good Customer Service rating even tho I have never used them. That's a great sell in itself!

NewEgg.com is an internet winner.

My experience could have been wonderful. Instead they locked my account after putting the financial transaction through. When I emailed and called to figure out why, as it was my first order, they told me that a related account was blocked and therefore mine was too. I asked in what way they were related, they told me the address was the same. They then gave me the name, customer number, and reason for blockage of an account that was not mine. Violating the privacy act. Then told me the only way to unlock my account was to get this other person to correct their financial messup with Newegg. This is not my husband or son. This is a relative that I am in no way responsible for. And yet, Newegg says I am.

Over the past several years I have purchased 10's of thousands of dollars of personal and corporate equipment from Newegg, always without problem. Last week, however, I purchased an Open Box item that arrived without parts critical for it to work. Upon contacting Newegg, they promptly waived the restocking fee and provided free shipment back for the defective product. Wow! My faith in Newegg was quickly restored and I will continue to use them almost exclusively for my technology purchases.

I ordered a printer from newegg.com because of the low price, but I never expected the great service I got when two showed up (I had somehow ordered two).
I called newegg.com, they said to refuse delivery on one of them and they would credit my account for the full price, they did exactly what they said they would do, and within 3 days the money was back in my bank.
Low price, great service, and they kept their word. Hard to find these days.

I bought everything need to build a computer (Mother board, HDD, Memory, heat sink, fan, Graphic card, case…). Everything arrived on time and in perfect shape. When I assembled the computer, I found out that 3 screws where missing from the mother board screws package (Not newegg problem as the box was sealed). I contact newegg customer service one time. They went to one of their vendors, created a new part number containing only the screws package and send it to my house at no cost at all. 4 days and 1 mail after I found out about the problem, the package was in my house. WOW.
